Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Very rarely do I complain, but I intend to write a letter to management about my experience. I ordered a to go order today at 12:09 and was told on the phone it would be 15 mins. I got there at 12:20, paid and waited. I paid a tip, which I frequently do not do on to-go order but being in a hurry I thought it would make them hurry or at least be attentive to my order - I was wrong. My order was below. Chicken taco salad (no onion or tomato) side of beans and rice chili rellano lunch combo side of sour cream extra hot sauce guacamole The bill was $24.35 (before tip) and once I finally got my food at 12:38, I verified with the hostess that there was in fact extra hot sauce and gauc she answered is broken English - Yes. The problems: 1. There was no guacamole. 2. There was no hot sauce AT ALL....I received a small stirofoam box filled to the brim with pice de gallo. I'm still scratching my head how a Mexican restaurant can confuse pico de gallo with hot sauce. Heck my Norwegian mother would not make that mistake. 3. A chilo rellano is not meant to be wrapped in egg. It was basically an omellete with a pepper inside of it - DISGUSTING. The refried beans were actually good. I am writing a letter to management (since it was a to go order) and will also stop by and talk in person later today.

The staff was very nice. They constantly came to the table to make sure everyone was taken care of. As for the food, I had the Vallarta Seafood burrito. I enjoyed it. It was somewhat salty, but I tend to be salt sensitive. There was plenty of seafood in the burrito although I would have like to have the seafood taste throughout the burrito and not just in the meat pieces. My SO had chimichungas and enjoyed it. They were smaller than other places, but the "shell" was fried perfectly and the meat was well seasoned.

Food and service are always top notch. Some of the lesser star reviews for these guys are way off based in my opinion. I have been coming to this place for years. Love this place!

Inca looks like almost every Mexican restaurant you've ever visited. That's a bit of a conundrum isn't it? Americans expect a Mexican restaurant to appear a certain way but that decor has become dreadfully cliche. In any case, Inca has that comforting feeling of Mexican restaurants, with tile-like table tops and salsa placed in front of you within minutes of sitting down. The server was very friendly and I was very pleased with my chimichanga/enchilada plate. The food was nothing to blow your socks off but quite well made and tasty for a place like Sioux Falls, which, nothing against it, it's not the cuisine capital of the world suffice it to say. Overall, Inca is plenty satisfying. Word to the wise: if you're trying to take advantage of one of their convoluted BOGO specials that are taped on the outside door, run it by your server that that's what you intend to utilize. We had a group of five and ran into a little bit of confusion with the daily specials offered and the prices billed. No big deal, but Inca could stand to incorporate a point-of-sale computerized system so that everything would be better tracked. As it is, I can see how the server/kitchen can mess things up accidentally, especially if customers don't mention ahead of time that they plan to execute a special taped up on the outside door. With some better organization, Inca would run more smoothly.

I went with a large tour group passing through Sioux Falls, and we pre-ordered our dishes. Not sure if what we got is on the regular menu, but it was good. We had fajitas, with mixed chicken and steak. peppers and onions. The tortilla chips were a little thin for my taste, so I didn't eat many of them. The dish came with rice and refried beans on the side of the plate, and everything was very tasty and well prepared. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but what I had was good. The decor is simple, yet funtional, with many tables being booths near the window and lining the perimeter of the restaurant. Friendly staff and good service.

Mark W. said it perfectly. Its pretty good for midwest mexican food. I was pretty well impressed as I am from the west coast and have spent a considerable amount of time in Mexico and Southern California and consider myself somewhat of an afficionado of Mexican cuisine. Food tasted freshly preparred and was served in a timely manner. I will be moving to Sioux Falls soon and am excited I know I can get a decent plate of mexican food here.

Food - 1. Recently moved here from Milwaukee- not the Latino Foods capital of the world but I had some favorites among the 30+ Mexican restaurants we tried there. This food was not anything to go back for. The chips were pretty good - they are thin, but were warm and crispy so I did like them, but my husband did not. The salsa too tasted ok - and I kinda wished I had stopped there. I had the Enchiladas con Mole - the Mole sauce was too sweet - almost like BBQ sauce. The beans were completely bland. The rice was on the dry side and not very flavorful either. Now, here's my biggest problem - a bad entree I could shake off as a "bad night", but rice and beans came with every meal and these were my biggest problem foods. My husband had 3 enchiladas - he said they tasted OK but was also not a fan of the rice or beans. Also, and I didn't think this was possible, there was too much melted cheese on EVERYTHING. My daughter's quesedilla was actually pretty good but a little pricey ($3.95) for just a quessadilla for a kid (no rice, beans or drink included). Oh, and the menu says freshly made lemonade and iced tea but I'm pretty sure it was Minute Maid. Atmosphere - 3. Typical Mexican restaurant decor, but then again I like my Mexican food to come from a hole in the wall without tropical carpet. I will say that the whole place was very clean - including the bathrooms. Service - 3.5. They were very friendly. We tried to order my daughter's meal right away when we sat down as she doesn't have patience but her meal came out about 1 min before ours did - again she only got a quesadilla. We did have prompt refills of our water. The server was friendly and helpful. The service (as mentioned in prior reviews) was the only thing keeping this from being a 1 star review. I am now concerned about my prospects for Mexican food here in Sioux Falls - will need to try again.

Wonderful place! The staff is so friendly and on the ball. We celebrated a friend's birthday recently. Our waiter was ready with margaritas the minute one was empty. He even memorized all 13 orders and cheerfully recited them back to the table. We gave him a round of applause for that. Finally, they brought out a cake with candles lit that our friend had dropped off early. On top of all this great service the food is delish. The arroz con pollo is the best with chili con queso on the side.

Excellent meal and great friendly service. The food was piping hot which is essential for Mexican food. The enchiladas and Chimichingas were great.

This might be as authentic as Mexican gets in Sioux Falls. Which means some things were good and some not so good. My chicken burrito was good, as were the rice and beans. But my girlfriend's chile relleno wasn't the greatest and she didn't like the beans ("weird texture") or rice (a "sad American version"). The margaritas, though inexpensive, weren't strong and were smooth but not tasty. An aunt thought a frozen margarita tasted like medicine and didn't like her food. The chips, salsa and guacomole were the best thing about this place.

This is not good 'Mexican' food, not authentic at all. what does Peru /Incas ancient history have to do with Mexican food? Get your geography right. Food here taste stale and atmosphere seems a bit dirty.

Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Beans and rice lacking flavor, but their chips and salsa fill the gap. Good place to stop if you're looking for authentic Mexican.

I've been living in Minnesota for a while and have missed eating really good Mexican food. I ordered Inca's against my hotel desk clerk's recommendation and was thrilled with the meal that I received! The food was amazing with fantastic flavors and excellent quality ingredients. I could not have been more pleased! When I'm in the area again, this is a definite stop!

Chile verde was excellent! The salsa with the chips was great as well. How can you go wrong with a huge margarita for less than $4? We will definitely return.

Very good. Had enchiladas which were quite tasty. Service and food were a bit slow but it was worth it and I will be back for sure.

Best food I have had jn Sioux Falls so far. Margaritas are only $3.75, the chips and salsa is addictive, and the seafood soup is amazing if you ask for it spicy. This is my new spot!!

Inca is by far our fav. go-to Mexican food place in town. There monterey jack queso is to die for and i crave it any given hour of the day. Order there mushrooms if your a lover and you will be bowled over by there garlicy deliciousness. Then i usually enjoy there enchiladas con mole or chimichanga. You can't beat there cheapo margs either. And they are always so cheerful and friendly to serve you!

Just visiting up here for a few days and went to this place. It was good for Midwest mexican food.

Absolutely the best chile relleno a and Mojara around. Excellent staff. Friendly and attentive.

If there were zero stars, I would give Inca's that. Food was awful and overpriced. My chicken fajitas had a coconut taste, and so much seasoning the chicken was completely orange. We ordered to-go, and the queso & salsa that we got were store bought with an Inca's sticker slapped on the side. Nothing tasted fresh. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I was intrigued to find a Mexican restaurant in Sioux Falls, South Dakota...so I had try. The place is very casual, non-pretentious and somewhat family oriented actually. We were quickly seated and served with chips & salsa. The server was friendly and accommodating throughout. As for the food, I know it's not fair to compare with some of the Mexican I've had back in NYC, but I find it rather ordinary. (I feel like a spoiled New Yorker.) The preparations, ingredients as well as flavors were considered mediocre... not to say I didn't enjoy my overall experience at Inca Mexican... because I did.

Being out of towners we had no clue where to eat. Thank goodness for Yelp and directions. This place was close to our Inn and had good reviews. The food was really good and the staff very attentive! We are very happy to have found good food and good service!! Will continue to eat here while we are on town!! Salsa was very nice ( we have had some horrible stuff people try to pass off as salsa) try to find Mexican in Montana!
(4)Justin G.
It was okay, normally my wife and I don't go to new places out of fear that it won't be good. This was the case with Inca. Both entrees consisted of a total of 5 "tacos" they were all 80% cheese. The service was quick but I only received one drink over the course of hour hour meal and it was a small glass.

Absolutely our favorite restaurant in town. The camarones chipotle dish is the perfect combination of spicy and flavor. We have tried all the camarone dishes and Incas clearly has this type of seafood down! Try any of these dishes, you will not be let down! PS...have a dos Equis dark to chase it down too!,

Best Mexican in Sioux Falls. From the chips and salsa to the entrees and service. Try the burritos and more authentic menu items. You won't be disappointed.
(5)Chris H.
Mexican food just isn't that good in Sioux Falls, which makes sense because a lot of people don't like spice and it is pretty far away from Mexico itself. The salsa here tastes like tomato sauce and the decor is exactly like every other place, but the customer service was refreshing. We were a party of 15 and the manager took our order without writing anything down. Of course, we were doubting his abilities but he repeated everything back to us and brought everything out with no mistakes. The food was ok, again it's just not spicy.
